Bacon Fest – Easton’s biggest festival (73,700 attendees in 2023) is coming Nov. 2-3, 2024. To promote, the city has Bacon Fest t-shirt wearing scarecrows sitting on benches around downtown.
Chip met his first scarecrow today … and he didn’t like it. Chip is an 11-month-old Seeing Eye puppy my family is raising (our 7th) who regularly comes to work with me. Socialization and exposure to new things is a big part of what we do as puppy raisers, and seeing new (and potentially scary) things like scarecrows are part of the job.
He didn’t bark or growl at it (which is good) but he definitely didn’t want to get too close to this weird, not-person thing.
