The Collaborative Liberal Arts Project’s first ever Moodle User Group meeting was held June 23-24, 2014 at Macalester College in St. Paul, MN. It was followed by our traditional Summer Moodle Hack/doc Fest.
Getting there was an adventure in and of itself — Charles Fulton (Lafayette College) and I took the train from New York City to Washington D.C. to Cleveland, OH ( where we were joined by Jason Bennett of Kenyon College). We continued on to Chicago, IL where we boarded the Empire Builder and continued on to St. Paul, MN.
Once in St. Paul, we crossed the river to catch a Twins baseball game at Target Field in Minneapolis, MN. It’s a beautiful stadium, and it was an excellent day for a game.
The MUG itself was a success, with 80+ people attending the event. It was focused on the pedagogical uses of Moodle in the liberal arts and was attended by a good mix of faculty, instructional technologists, and programmers.
