Mackenzie Calvert

Class: 2020

Major: Psychology and International Affairs

From: Easton, Connecticut

At Lafayette, Mackenzie is involved with Refugee Action, an organization that works to support refugees, and she started riding horses last year with the equestrian team. She also tutors children through the America Reads program, and is very interested in education. Mackenzie heard about LIME in her second week at Lafayette and has been involved ever since with fundraising. She has not travelled abroad before and is looking forward to visiting Madagascar and meeting the students!

Sidney Michelini

Class: 2020

Major: Mathematics/Economics

From: Pewaukee, WI

Sidney is a double major in Mathematics and Economics with a concentration in finance as well as a Russian and Eastern European studies minor. Outside of class he plays saxophone in concert band, serves on the board of investment club, and works with prospective student in multiple aspects including becoming a tour guide. In his free time Sidney enjoys podcasts, books, hiking, traveling, and reading. He is honored by the opportunities LIME presents him and is excited to get to work in Madagascar!

Tomoki Sasaki

Class: 2019

Major: Religion & Politics and Philosophy

From: Kigali, Rwanda

Tomoki is junior Religion & Politics and Philosophy double major. He was one of the leaders of International Orientation 2017, alongside Mackenzie, Betsenat, and Calvin (all in this group). Other than religious studies and philosophy, which he is passionate about, Tomoki loves doing pottery, drinking good coffee, and scuba diving.

Betsenat Gebrewold

Class: 2020

Major: Economics and International Affairs

From: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

Betsenat is an Economics and International Affairs major from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. She works in the library and tutors various courses in Economics. She is a resident of Grossman House for Global Perspectives, a residence hall made up of students who have lived abroad or are interested in discussing issues that span the globe. She was one of the leaders of international orientation for the class of 2021.

Eunice Geronimo

Class: 2019

Major: Anthropology and Sociology with a Spanish minor

From: Washington, DC

Eunice is an Anthropology and Sociology major and Spanish minor. On campus, Eunice works at the library, the language lab as a proctor and a conversation partner for Spanish, and tutors Pre- K and 5th graders. Besides this, Eunice is the President of the Lafayette African and Caribbean Student Association (LACSA) and is a member of a couple other multicultural organizations. Whenever Eunice is not in class or working, she’s busy cracking funny jokes, dancing, and having fun with friends! She cannot wait to get to Madagascar, meet all the awesome students, and experience all what LIME has to offer!

Josh Kline

Class: 2019

Major: Film and Media Studies with an Environmental Science Minor

From: Bryn Mawr, PA

Josh is a junior who is studying Film and Media as well as Environmental Studies. On campus he is the Vice President for LEAP, an Eco Rep, co-founder of the food recovery program, and co-founder of the weigh the waste initiative. Josh also has a passion for travel and is excited to meet all of the LIME students!

Elbert Savinon

Class: 2020

Major: Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering with an Anthropology and Sociology Minor

From:Queens, NY

Elbert is from New York City, he resides in the borough of Queens. He is a Chemical Engineering major with an Anthropology and Sociology Minor. On campus Elbert works as a tutor. He enjoys painting and sleeping in his free time.

Fanessa delaRosa

Class: 2019

Major: Engineering Studies & International Affairs

From: New York, NY

Fanessa is an Engineering Studies and International Affairs double major with a potential French minor. She is of Puerto Rican and Dominican descent.  On campus, Fanessa is a resident advisor and a Spanish conversation partner.  She works with Career Services as a Gateway Ambassador and is involved with students groups on campus such as Kaleidoscope ( social justice peer educator group), the Best Society and SBIC ( the Social Business Investment Club).  Fanessa is passionate about learning languages and about different cultures.  Most importantly, she cannot wait to meet the LIME students!

Rindra N. Randriamanantena

Class: 2020

Major: Computer Science

From: Madagascar

Rindra was born and raised in Antananarivo, the capital of Madagascar. His major is Computer Science and study at Lafayette College, Class of 2020.

Last summer, he did a research with a Math Professor and he loved it.

At Lafayette, he is member of the Association of Computing Machinery (ACM), Lafayette DisciplineMakers Christian Fellowship (LDCF) and International Student Association (ISA) clubs.

In his free time, he loves playing basketball and making music.

Calvin Wright

Major:Economics and French (Double Major)

From:Kingston, Jamaica



Calvin is an Economics and French Double Major at Lafayette. On campus, he is a tour guide and Vice-President of the Lafayette African Caribbean Students Association (LACSA). He also works in the language lab as a conversation partner and proctor for French. Sometimes he lives in the library. Other times, he is annoying someone with his singing. He enjoys (and fears) travelling, learning new languages and reading an enlightening novel.
