Introduction:

Our project was the transmission of various sensor data from a data logging site down the hill near the bridge over Bushkill Creek to the Public Safety building down the street. The data is currently being collected and used by Professor Brandes, a civil engineering professor at Lafayette College. At the building the data would be put on the school network which would eliminate the need for Professor Brandes to have to go to the site and manually grab the sensor data with a computer. To achieve this we created an embedded system that would take the data from the data logger and then send it via long range radio to a receiver set up in the Public Safety building.
