Overall, our design worked fairly well. The matrix is updated at the rate 500 microsecond. The interaction between pet display and button is successful. The change among the mood modes of the pet is smooth and timely. The animation of each mode also works accurately on time delay and display position. The calculated result from heartbeat rate sensor is not stable, although we can get some reasonable value from measurement sometimes. The number from temperature sensor is reliable and reflect the room temperature/ hand temperature correctly. However, when we want to use it to measure body temperature, it need more time to stabilize the result. We didn’t have any interference with other groups’ designs in the process. The virtual pet is easily used by us and other people with a simple instruction. The pet and the number is clearly displayed on the matrix, and the mood change can be controlled by a single button.
