The main objective of our project was to ensure the constant care of household pets and to ease the strain of care on the pet owners. The most important of part of pet care is the management and control of the diet and we wanted to help automate the system to allow for decreased human interaction. Using a Graphical User Interface, the human can input a daily feeding schedule and the weight of each meal for any given day. When the meal time is met, the system will dispense the specified amount of food based upon the monitored weight of the bowl. The system will keep attempting to dispense food until the required meal weight is met. Our system also implements a pet water supply system which always ensures that the pet has available water to stay hydrated.
