LIME is a peer-to-peer mentoring program between Lafayette students and high school students from Madagascar to prepare the latter for the process of applying to colleges in the US.  Ten Lafayette students are chosen each year to participate in the program in which they work with Malagasy students from Lycee Andohalo, a public high school in Antananarivo.  Lafayette students formally commit to mentoring over a 1.5 year period which includes a three week trip to Madagascar in January.  The informal commitment is for a lifetime!

Please view the LIME FAQs page for more information about the program.

Please also contribute to the program so that our Malagasy students can afford to study in the United States. Whether your contribution is large or small, every little bit helps. Please see our donations page for more information.

Congratulations to Clara Randimbiarinanana for being accepted to Lafayette College as a member of the class of 2018. Many thanks to those of you who pitched in to purchase Clara’s plane ticket. Here is Clara arriving at JFK Airport in New York in August 2014, and Prisca greeting her:

We are happy that Clara has joined Rebeka Ramangamihanta (’16) and Prisca Ratsimbazafy (’17) as our pioneering graduates of Lycee Andohalo who were in the first cohort of LIME students.
