The Da Vinci Science Center has a summer science camp for children entering grades 1-7. One afternoon per week, they have environmental activities. SEES organizes fun games and crafts to teach campers about the environment a few times during the summer.
Last summer, crafts and games taught campers about many things, including recycling and composting! Here are some photos from the 2009 session:
This summer, we did activities twice – once in late July and once in early August. We taught them how to reduce, reuse, and recycle while incorporating info about wind energy, waste water treatment plants, and symbiotic relationships.
