Our Mission

Our mission is to cultivate fresh and local food, environmental interaction, and the health of the Lafayette community through the development and academic integration of a sustainable food system for the College. We do this by applying sustainable farming practices and by understanding the Garden as a site for teaching, research, and community building for the College and greater Lehigh Valley region. Our long-term goals are to provide healthy food to the community, to nurture multidisciplinary student engagement through classroom participation and academic research, and to foster an understanding of the critical role of food in environmental stewardship.
