The Lafayette College Concert Band will rehearse on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:15 pm until 5:45 pm. Rehearsals take place in Williams Center room 123.
In addition to this, each member of the band will be required to add one 90 minute rehearsal each week on his or her own. This rehearsal may be done all at once, thirteen minutes each day, or any combination in between. This time will allow the students to prepare individually for rehearsals, so that collective time is not spent on individual issues. Additionally, this rehearsal may be with one or more other members of the same section.
Sectional rehearsals will be held during the first month of the concert cycle, or when the conductor is out of town. Sectional rehearsals are led by student section leaders under the supervision of the conductor.
Rehearsals will begin precisely at 4:15 pm. In order to begin on time, you will need to arrive at least ten minutes early (ca. 4:05 pm) to allow for you to warm up individually. If you are going to be late, it is your responsibility to contact me in advance.
In the case of regularly scheduled lab or class sessions that will cause a late arrival, please consult with me at the beginning of the semester. In the case of added class responsibilities by other professors on campus, contact me immediately. I will provide a written memo that you should provide to your professor explaining why you need to be at rehearsal.
Rehearsal Schedules are posted on this site. Check here frequently for updates to the schedule.
