TMT Analyst Hank Skatoff ’25 and Financials Analyst Maximilian Oeser ‘25 presented the Market Update on Friday, November 17th. The update started with an index overview. Recent news headlines covered corporate profits leveling off and the past month’s 20% decrease in oil prices. Inflation has continued to cool. IPO activity remains down. Consumer spending has remained steady throughout the rate hike but is forecasted to dip in the near future.
Nick Sant Foster, a 2022 alumnus and former Co-president graciously held a panel to discuss his current role and share insight about his career journey. He currently works at Santander Bank as a Corporate Banking Analyst. Nick summarized the various skills that have led him to success, such as technical, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities. He also reviewed the many resources and classes that Lafayette College offers to help develop these skills. We would like to thank Nick for his time and for sharing his advice and accomplishments!
