Parting is Such Sweet Sorrow!

Students and prof families came together for a final farewell to our seniors and myself organized by Hannah, Kyle, and Prof. Goshgarian.

After the last day of classes, we feasted on much-needed treats, opened presents, and played with gorgeous baby Erica who has been to more than one McKelvy party– and she is not even 1 yet! 2013 T-shirts were handed out and new McKelvys scoped out their rooms for next year. Giri sported some brand new kicks. “Happiness” bags from Mercantile Home sent Kara and Meagan on their way with reminders of discussions past, while I was the honored recipient of a McKelvy mug, chocolates, biography, and a homemade book of McKelvy photos from 2010-2013 signed by the McKelvys.

It was hard not to get choked up– but I know I am leaving the House in the more than capable hands of Prof. Goshgarian and I will be right around the corner on Porter St– so the students next year will have a blast and I will come by to enjoy all the fun. I am so grateful to the 2013 McKelvys for making this last year such a wonderful one. See pics below!
