Getting Ready for Our Close-Up!

This Fall has been full of beeps and backhoes around the House as Phase One of the garden renovations have been completed, right in time for our anniversary party on 10/19.

Here are some snaps of the before– all of the heavy equipment shots are for my three-year-old nephew, who has a thing for diggers:

Note cameo from visiting professorial pup Molly. One of the wonderful things about the landscaping is that with some of the diseased trees down, it is much easier to see our gorgeous Japanese maples, which are getting more sunlight as well.
