Adventkalender

 Advent kommt aus dem Lateinischen “adventus”, was Ankunft heißt. Es ist eine kirchliche Jahreszeit und beginnt vier Wochen vor Weihnachten.

As the major fundraiser for the German Club, Advent calendars are sold to students, faculty and staff in November. The calendars usually cost around $5.00 and contain 25 individual pieces of German chocolate in individual windows to be opened once a day leading up to Christmas. The fundraiser is important as it provides the German Club with the resources necessary to pay for field trips and other events.
