Updated Pre-Rough Cut: Feedback Appreciated!

Hey guys,

So my structure is a little further along now and I exported my project in one file. I wanted to do this before fall break so I could reflect on what I had since I won’t be able to edit. I’m still fine tuning and playing around (especially with the food pantry bit) but would appreciate any feedback on the following:

  • what cuts are the most powerful/informative?
  • what shots are superfluous and can be cut/cut down?
  • general comments on the beginning and ending (any suggestions for visuals in the blank space in the beginning?)
  • things that you think are missing
  • music suggestions are very very welcome

Thanks!

Life(WT) Pilot Updated 10/5

Hey everyone, this is the updated version of my Pilot episode. As point of reference I have attached my current Proposal here. There is also a personal write-up that I made to articulate the What and Why Behind Life

I have also put the Character Trajectories in this post so you can get an idea of what will happen to each of the main characters. Each bullet point is essentially something that will happen within one of the first 5 episodes.

As for changes to the script: I have adjusted the dialogue in the scenes and tried to make it more developed and realistic. I also took the suggestions for how to show movement and the ways that people say things with brackets

Life Episode 1

Looking forward to your feedback!! Hope this information is helpful rather than too much to go off of

Schedule for Capstone (Rough Cut/Rough draft) Presentations

You are allotted 15 minutes for your presentation. You can use this time as you wish. For example you can use the entire time to show your work and request feedback later via the blog. If you would like to receive detailed feedback, please post our work on the blog 48 hours before you present.

You also need to turn in a complete rough draft/rough cut to me, one that shows evidence of a structure, not a series of selects and not the first 20 pages of a script. This is due on the day of your presentation. Let me know if you have questions.
