Join the extended College community when the Hermione is docked at South Street Seaport. Tour the ship at your leisure and then join us for a tour and gathering at the Fraunces Tavern Museum and Fraunces Tavern, just a 10 minute walk from the ship.

Thursday, July 2, 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Hermione — Public tours 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

First come, first served.  No reservations required. Priority access given to school groups during the first hour.

Tour of the Fraunces Tavern Museum — 3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.

The Museum Tour is currently sold out.  We are exploring the possibility of adding another tour at 2:30 p.m.- 3:30 p.m.  If you are interested in being added to a wait list for the possible additional tour, please email your name and number of guests to alumni@lafayette.edu.

The Fraunces Tavern Museum exhibits highlight New York City history as it relates to Colonial America, the Revolutionary War, and the Early Republic. This includes a collection and interpretation of the institution’s landmarked 1719 building along with varied exhibitions of art and artifacts as they relate to the historic site and the American Revolution. A special exhibit of historical items and information about the Marquis de Lafayette will be on display. Please note, the Fraunces Tavern Museum is not handicap accessible.  Tour participants must be able to negotiate stairs. $5 per person.

Fraunces Tavern Social — 4:30 p.m. – 8 p.m.
54 Pearl Street Guests must be 21 years of age or older to enter the Fraunces Tavern.
Join us for appetizers and drinks in the Bissell Room and catch up with fellow members of the ‘Pard community.  Free appetizers provided by Lafayette College from 4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. Cash bar.

Unable to visit the Hermione on July 2? The ship will be docked at South Street Seaport, Pier 15, July 1-4.  See the full list of programs for NYC including public visitation hours on Friday, July 3 and the Hermione-Lafayette Parade of Ships on July 4.

Lafayette’s Return: The “Boy General,” the American Revolution, and the Hermione May 29-August 16. See rarely displayed Lafayette and Hermione-related cultural artifacts and historical documents, including important manuscripts from the Lafayette College archives.
Hours: Tuesday-Thursday, Saturday – 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
Friday – 10 a.m.-8 p.m.
Sunday – 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
Monday – CLOSED
