The World in Harmony: The Beginning

I can’t say if this theme developed more from my love of music or from my passion for languages; let’s just say a little bit of both. Some of the music I listen to is in languages I can’t understand but this doesn’t stop me from listening to it, much less loving it. If we really listen we can hear the emotions in the music, dance to the rhythm, hum along with the melody. Music has the ability to transcend linguistic boundaries and connect people together with its beauty and beat. As I say this, though, I can’t help but consider how the language and music reflects the culture from which this it comes. This blog will explore different music from different places, looking at both how it represents its culture and can connect the world in harmony.
