Tree Trimming Party with the Marquis Scholars

The run-up to the McKelvy Holiday Party is always hectic, and this year seemed even more so as we gobbled pizza and nog for the annual tree-trimming the Sunday after Thanksgiving. Hannah and Kyle set out treats, and Kayani contributed a tin of delicious Trader Joe’s popcorn from home. Danyelle and Maggie decorated while Tia and Josh critiqued. There were creative differences over the tree, which must mean we are a REAL family. Tia suggested putting pickles on the tree, a German tradition– fortunately or unfortunately, there were no pickles in the vicinity. A good time was had by all, including the first year Marquis Scholars who showed up and loved seeing the House for the first time. Enjoy all the action in the slideshow below!
