Russian Club Party

On February 17th, McKelvy House hosted the Lafayette Russian Club’s cultural party. Professors, McKelvyites, and other students alike got a chance to mingle and enjoy borscht and caviar.  With Russian pop music providing an unexpected starting point for intellectual conversations, the party was well-attended, as evidenced by the quick rate at which (nearly) the entire punch bowl of borscht disappeared.

All in all, it was a fun night, and hopefully one that raises awareness both of McKelvy and of Russian culture and cuisine in the student body. And we learned an important lesson: cooking borscht makes the entire house smell like soup!
