Giving Thanks for Old and New Friends (and Snow!)

The holiday season at McKelvy– from the first snow on Thanksgiving Day to the holiday parties, last Sunday discussions of the semester, finals week, and goodbyes to Scholars off to semesters abroad– passed by in a flash.  I’ll post a slideshow or two of all the fun, but here are some highlights:

First snow of the year on Thanksgiving

Early Thanksgiving morning the deer sprinted across the lawn after being spooked by the drums from the parade before the Easton-Phillipsburg game. An intrepid crew set up a doughnut table on the sidewalk in front of McKelvy, undaunted by the freezing weather.

For our tree trimming party with the Marquis Scholars, we pulled out all the stops. The night began with pizza and decorations, meandered through Sufjan’s holiday hits, and ended with a Guitar Hero tournament, courtesy of Lexi.
