SAVE THE DATE!
The Lehigh Valley Engaged Humanities Consortium (LVEHC) is pleased to announce that the application is now open for the May 24th day-long Oral History Workshop, to be hosted at Lafayette College. You can complete the straightforward application form here. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis through May 15th. Participants who complete the workshop and submit a brief post-workshop survey are eligible for a $250 stipend.
Leading the workshop will be Brooke Bryan, Co-Director of the Oral History in the Liberal Arts (OHLA) Initiative. The interactive workshop will cover topics such as project planning, informed consent, and data management workflows. Several local oral history practitioners (Lora Taub-Pervizpour, Kim Carrell-Smith and Julia Maserjian) will be participating in a panel sharing their experiences and lessons learned. This event is open to anyone (librarians, educators, community members, etc.) who may want to pursue an oral history project related to the Lehigh Valley.
We hope you will apply to join us on May 24th at Lafayette College to learn more about how to successfully implement an oral history project! If you are interested in receiving future updates about the workshop, please contact LVEHC Mellon Grant Coordinator Kate Pitts (firstname.lastname@example.org).
