Ever since our discussion about composting, and watching my grandparents compost for years, I would like to start my own. My mom is all for it but I wanted to look up some logistics on how to make a compost. So this is a great article for all of you who want to learn to compost!
I thought this article was really interesting because I have never used my own compost before. After interviewing a farmer this semester for our Interview Project, I found out a lot about composting and how that can improve farms. Compost makes a huge impact on the environment, and agreeing with Christine, this is the perfect time to begin a compost due to the large amount of fallen leaves! Cool article, thank you for sharing.
I think composting is a really great way to save resources (and money), improve the quality of soil, and generally reduce your impact on the environment. My mom and I keep a garden that we probably would not want to maintain without the compost. All the leaves on the ground in this season also help a lot- they decompose quickly and add a lot of nutrients, so the garden is ready to go come spring. The article you posted is really thorough in helping newcomers start composts!
