Jeremy, I would be interested to know why you think they made the right decision? I have not yet had the time to read up on the full details of the case and how they came to that decision so I cannot in good faith argue against you. However, I would like to know why you think they came to that choice and what arguments you have as to why they shouldn’t have taken it to trial. I understand that he punched the cop in the face and then ran away but the fact that he was shot TWELVE times and clearly the death bullet through his head hit him on the way going down seems a bit ridiculous to me.
I think in the ferguson case, the courts made the right decision because their was not enough credible evidence to indict the police officer. Yes, it is unfortunate that Michael Brown died in such an unconventional way and that police officers should be trying to protect lives than take them, yet the evidence was not there to support a controversial decision on the indictment. This has upset many people, but I think if they indicted the cop in this situation their would have been just as much of a backlash due to the lack of evidence.
