Abstract:

The purpose of this website is to analyze the use of grey water and recycled water systems such as how they are implemented, why they are used and their costs and benefits.  Through looking at these technologies as systems we will be looking to see where they are working, who is using them and ultimately, whether or not it would be feasible to further their operation at Lafayette College through infrastructure and administrative decision.  This will be an unbiased projection of whether or not these systems seem not only possible but also useful given the college’s location and other constituencies.  We will be looking at the environmental, national and local impacts on these systems and how their implementation can in turn effect them as well.

With a push to, “Go green,” we will identify whether or not going green with water recycling could be used, what it would take to become a proponent of it and what would affect the overall decision and management of its use.  With regulations through the Environmental Protection Agency or EPA, there have been recommendations through the government on who should be using these systems and what their positive and negative effects are.
