Abstract: This Engineering Studies Capstone project worked with a specific research question: What form of entrepreneurship education is best suited Lafayette’s campus, via the IDEAL Center?  To begin our work we re-structured previous student’s proposal of an entrepreneurship minor at Lafayette by connecting Lafayette’s business-oriented students to the IDEAL center.  Personal introspection drove our group to fill the perceived “business experience void” at Lafayette.  Research and analysis of the Lafayette community led our group to the IDEAL center.  Most of the project was developed through examination of other prominent institutions of higher education. The final product took shape in three forms; a website, a video, and a memo, all which establish a connection between EGRS students, action-oriented entrepreneurship, and the IDEAL center. The project is without a terminal conclusion but still holds a specific future direction: an Entrepreneurship Certificate program and further expressions of IDEAL advertising and projects.  It is important to note that the Spring 2013 group was focused on a Minor proposal but our research suggests project-based work at the IDEAL center best suits Lafayette College.
