Abstract:

This is a published site for Lafayette College’s awareness and efforts to reduce e-waste on campus. As you navigate through the site, you will find some background contexts on the topic and our suggestions for possible implementation strategies for a small campus like Lafayette. Corporations design production systems for quick turn over of products which creates enormous amounts of thrown away electronics, known as “e-waste”. There are, however, things that can be done by our society and electronics industry to reduce this problem.  Sub-pages outline the three major contexts that have been integral in the development of the problem at hand. This site also researches this problem within the context of Lafayette College, and offers some temporary solutions for the problems of e-waste on the campus.
