LCET Updates

2023-2024 Season Achievements

After a year full of great rides and tough competition, LCET ended the season on Saturday as Reserve Champion Team of Region 4. Seven Lafayette riders pointed out of their respective divisions this year and qualified to compete in Regionals. Four of them will advance to Zone 3 Finals to be held this upcoming Sunday at Brookside Show Stables. At Regionals, two of our riders were also recognized for their outstanding individual achievements. Senior Grace McEneaney earned the Kelly Francfort Sportsmanship Award, and Junior Connor Port earned top votes for the Incentive Award for his motivation all season long. We are so proud of all that our team has accomplished this year, inside and outside of the show ring, and can’t wait to cheer on our qualifiers this weekend at Zones. Best of luck to Grace, Anna, Kristina, and Lily!

Freshman Meena Hosaisy and sophomore Violet Whitmer performed spectacularly in their IHSA debuts, claiming 3rd in Intermediate Fences and 1st in Introductory, respectively. With many great rides all around, the team ended in 3rd place overall. Special shoutout to the spectators from the broader Lafayette community, including friends, family, and faculty, who came to cheer on our riders and support the team. Another big thank you to the families and businesses whose generous contributions helped finance our show. The show was a big success due to a comprehensive effort from the team and the surrounding community. Looking forward, LCET will travel to Bloomsburg on Saturday for the third show of the season.
