DKE Summer Series 2014 – Wiley Houldin

This summer Brother Wiley Houldin ’15 is working for AIG as a Commercial Underwriter in the Environmental Division in Boston, MA. Working with the other underwriters, Wiley helps evaluate the environmental risks of potential sites and works to help construct adequate coverage for each client’s needs.

Wiley’s daily responsibilities include creating ratings, drafting quotes, and reviewing environmental documents to help identify potential risks. Going into the summer, he relied on the knowledge he gained from his time at Lafayette as a strong foundation to help him transition into the insurance industry.

Wiley is an Economics & Policy Studies double major at Lafayette, and currently serves as the Alumni Relations Chair for DKE.

  2. Nice work, Wiley! Handling Environmental Underwriting at AIG while balancing DKE duties showcases your skills well—much like strategizing in binary options, it’s all about assessing risks and opportunities. Keep it up!
