DKE Summer Series 2014 – Zachary Lizmi

This summer, Brother Zachary Lizmi ’15 has worked as a Project Finance intern at Kroll Bond Rating Agency in New York. Lizmi has collaborated with financial analysts to help assess strengths and risks of energy industry firms.

Lizmi’s day to day consists of evaluating financial statements, compiling metrics and ratios in order to summarize the financial statements, and analyzing key components of particular sectors within the energy industry such as petroleum, natural gas, and renewable energy.

Lizmi is an Economics and Government & Law double major at Lafayette, and credits his knowledge learned in Financial Theory (Econ 319) to his success at KBRA.

  2. It’s inspiring to see Zachary Lizmi apply his academic background so effectively in a real-world finance setting, especially within such a complex industry like energy. The way he’s using financial theory to assess risks and strengths reminds me of how important data analysis is across all fields — even in service industries like ours. In the cleaning industry, for example, we often evaluate customer feedback, service efficiency, and eco-friendly solutions to optimize our processes.
