DKE Alumni present talk on Law School

On Wednesday, April 3rd, the brothers of the Rho Chapters of Delta Kappa Epsilon, along with the Government and Law Department and the Office of the Dean of the College sponsored a presentation titled “Full Disclosure: Persepctives and Advice on Law School and the Legal Profession.” David W. Kiefer ’95 and Fletcher C. Thomson ’98, both DKE alumni, conducted the presentation and conveyed to aspiring potential law school students the benefits and challenges that come with the legal profession. Kiefer and Thomson provided a detailed insight into their experiences through law school, from the application process to the steps after graduation. Upon completion of the presentation, the students left with a deeper understanding of how to look forward, and approach a potential application to a law school.IMG_1711

This presentation is another example of how the brothers of Delta Kappa Epsilon are attempting to connect with the student body and provide learning experiences for the entire campus.IMG_1725

We would like to thank Brothers Kiefer and Thomson for coming back to present such a detailed and informative lecture.

  2. copper ion hapten – Copper is an essential ion of some metalloenzymes necessary for the normal course of biochemical processes, however, it is toxic at high concentration. Effective monitoring and identification of copper are essential for the environment and human health. Designing and synthesizing a hapten for copper ion, obtaining specific antibodies, and then utilizing antigen-antibody specific reaction to perform immunoassay has been an alternative approach in the field of metal ion measurement. Based on the advance in hapten research, Creative Biolabs provides customized services for the design, modification, and synthesis of heavy metals haptens (such as copper hapten), and helps to develop antibodies against heavy metals.
