The brothers of Delta Kappa Epsilon came out victorious in the five-on-five Intramural Basketball Championship. The championship team consisted of Brother Kelley, Leonard, Lederer, Roberts, Spear, Goldstein, Laird, Vorvolakos, McAndrew, Howe, and team elected captain, Marcus.
With an aggressive style of play, the brothers dominated from the opening tip to the final buzzer. Team coach and Brother Jonathan Frederick instituted an aggressive hands on defense that stifled the opposition and lead to multiple transition baskets. With an offensive game plan that focused around quick passes and off-ball movement, the Deke 5 created numerous open looks that lead to many easy baskets.
President Michael Kelley was quoted saying, “this championship is due directly to the hard work and effort our brothers put in, without the hustle and determination this would not be possible. I would like to thank the entire house for coming out and supporting us and helping this championship become a reality.”
This championship marks our third of the semester, with soccer and flag football already in hand. We wish our brothers congratulations on their recent achievement and will look forward to seeing them back in action come their return from winter break.
