An election was held recently for a new Administrative Council representative from the Development Division. Ben Landis, associate director of annual and leadership giving, was selected. Thank you to those who agreed to run on the ballot and those who voted. We’re glad to have Ben join our group.

A big thank you to the outgoing Admin Council rep for Development, Amy Blythe, director of parent and family relations, who was always at the ready to let her colleagues know what our group was working on or to bring a great idea to fruition. We appreciate all of your good work during your term!

Dave Block, director of internal communications, has been chosen by representatives to serve as chair-elect. He will work with the current chair, Mary Ellen Jackson, director of sponsored research, during this transition year and will assume the two-year position of chair in summer 2021. Thanks, Dave, for agreeing to fulfill this very important role!

Events hosted by Admin Council

Join us on Sept. 29 to learn about caregiving resources at Lafayette. Cristie Lazart, associate director, Human Resources, will present this initiative.

Admin Council reps will host agenda-free “community table” gatherings where colleagues can catch up with each other. RSVP to participate.

Did you know that Sept. 22 was National Voter Registration Day? Admin Council members have been working with Lafayette Votes to encourage all people at Lafayette to participate in this year’s election.

We are looking for your suggestions on future monthly meeting topics. Please contact us to submit any topic ideas or questions or concerns.
