Join Lafayette alumni, parents, and friends for a special event hosted by President Alison R. Byerly and Trustee David A. Reif ’68 celebrating the Marquis de Lafayette and the campaign’s role in achieving our bold vision for Lafayette’s future. The Boston Athenaeum is honoring the Marquis de Lafayette and his role in founding the new United States with a special exhibition, Lafayette: An American Icon. Our reception will feature remarks by the exhibition’s curator, David Dearinger.

The Boston Athenaeum’s Lafayette: An American Icon exhibition runs June 17 to September 12. It will feature works borrowed from a number of major American museums and libraries including numerous items from the Lafayette College archives.
