What to Expect
A FUN, MEANINGFUL WEEK OF COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT!
If you’re selected to join us for POSP 2026, you might find this information helpful in learning what to expect.
Please direct questions you may have about POSP, the move-in process, or student life at Lafayette College to a returning student leader via the Contact page. Contact information for Landis Center Professional Staff can be found at the Landis Center for Community Engagement website.
Moving In
All POSP First Year Students must arrive on campus on the first day of the program between 9:00 A.M. and 12:00 P.M. Unfortunately, we are unable to make exceptions for any student arriving early to campus. Please visit the Frequently Asked Questions or the Move-In Move-Out section of the Residence Life website for detailed information about moving to campus.
A list of items students should pack for POSP will be emailed after students are admitted to the program. All students must upload their ID pictures before they arrive to campus. Please be sure to follow all directions sent to you via Residents Life. Your ID is your key access to your dorm; you must have this completed before you arrive, otherwise, you will not be able to move in.
Computer and Post Office Access
For detailed information about computer access at Lafayette, please visit the Technology Guide for New Students on the Information Technology Services website. You might also check out ITS’s web page for additional information. Please be advised that the college post office will NOT be open on Saturday, August 15th. Please do not expect to pick up items that were shipped to the college on that day.
