January 14 – Isla Lobos and Leon Dormida Snorkeling Sites
Today we split into two groups and took boats to both Isla Lobas and Leon Dormida snorkeling sites. At Isla Lobos we snorkeled with sea lions, marine iguanas, rays, and turtles in waters less than 10 feet deep. At Leon Dormida, the erosional remnants of an old tuff cone, we added large fish like tuna as well as the exciting opportunity to get up close to white-tipped reef- and Galapagos sharks!
