January 8, 2015: Cotopaxi Hike
This morning we took a short but difficult hike up the side to Cotopaxi Volcano. While only a mile in length, the climb went from 14,800 to 15,950 feet… lack of oxygen made the hike interesting. We then contoured around to the nearest glacier to observe glacial processes in action! It was an early bedtime after a short lecture… everyone was pretty tired!
