We are the Lafayette College Percussion Ensemble. We generate a high level of musical excitement through hard work and commitment. Students from all disciplines are welcome. It is expected that you have some previous percussion experience and are willing to work hard toward achieving a wonderful musical experience. Rehearsals are on Monday evenings & Friday afternoons. Membership in the Lafayette Percussion Ensemble is open to all interested students, willing to work and contribute to the success of the ensemble. While prior percussion experience is definitely a plus, understudy experience is also open to motivated individuals.
The Ensemble performs a wide variety of musical styles from indigenous ethnic traditions to modern and improvisational styles.
