Holocaust Remembrance Week
Every April we observe Holocaust Remembrance Week by putting together a series of panels, video screenings, discussions, and other events to honor the victims of the Holocaust. These events bring the campus community together and always represent thought-provoking ways to remember the lives lost in the Holocaust.
Over 100 students and faculty were in attendance during the April 2023 speaker.
Social Action Events
A pillar of the culture of Judaism is Tikkun Olam. To honor this, Hillel students are committed to giving back to the campus community and the greater Lehigh Valley at large. Students recently brought back a program called “Bake a Difference” where anyone interested got to make challah from scratch, one to eat themselves and another to donate to a local Easton homeless shelter.
Each month for bagel brunch, in addition to the discussion, the social action team is responsible for hosting a discussion and picking an organization for students to donate to.
