The Lehigh Valley Historical Maps Consortium (LVHMC) is a group of local archivists, librarians, curators, and historians with an interest in historical maps who collaborate with the goal of establishing a collective inventory of maps related to the Lehigh Valley. An interdisciplinary project to understand the history of the Easton Cemetery’s 42,000 interred guests. Integrating paper records into a digital format for connection with the spatial location of all plots in the cemetery grounds. Students from multiple classes are involved reading tombstones, measuring plots and working through countless data files.
