Welcome to the LFEV Y6 (2018) Website!

Welcome to the LFEV – Y6 -2018 Project Site! Here you can find all of the work the ECE 492 class has done in the Spring 2018 semester as well as links to the project pages from the first four years of LFEV (Lafayette Formula Electric Vehicle).

This year we have successfully entered the competition in May and finished in fourth place the electric vehicle category, as well as the third place in the project management in the electric vehicle category. You can check this year’s formula hybrid competition results here. Score Sheet Here.

Formula Hybrid 2018 competition in Loudon, New Hampshire at the New Hampshire International Speedway. This was Lafayette College’s (Lafayette Motorsport’s) first year at competition, and they placed 4th overall in the electric category, out of 24 teams total. They were one of only 6 teams to pass technical inspection and compete in the endurance event, out of any team – electric or hybrid. The team also won the Fiat Chrysler Gracious Professionalism award.
