PHYSICAL
PHYSICAL STRUCTURE
The Biometric Autonomous Droid (BAD-2024) wheelchair is constructed of lightweight yet durable materials, designed for both comfort and functionality. The frame is primarily made of 80/20 aluminum, strong enough to support both the wheelchair and its electrical components. Key features include:
- Comfortable seat: Approximately 20 inches wide and long, designed to provide a 90-degree bend in the knees for comfort. The backrest reaches up to 39 inches, providing neck support while allowing space for sensors to operate above the user’s head.
- Armrests and footrest: The wheelchair includes comfortable armrests and a foldable footrest.
- Handles: Standard diameter of 7/8 inches, allowing a nurse or caregiver to move the chair manually if needed.
- Aesthetic design: The chair is a neutral dark color, like black, to avoid distractions, while the base features a brighter color for visibility and safety.
These elements ensure both ease of use and safety for users navigating hospital floors or assisted living facilities.
