Council Activities

The Admin council has plans to offer monthly activities to help engage and inform the Lafayette community.  These activities will vary in nature to be as inclusive to the interests of the community as possible.  If you have a suggestion for a topic, please use the Admin Council Topics of Interest Survey

2025 Academic Year

  • Wednesday, January 22, 12 – 1 pm, Limburg Theater, Farinon 003,  Open Community Lunch:    Come hear Dining Services and Geoff Labe of Business Services share some “Laf Hacks” for planning your event and utilizing catering. Plus, learn about some recent updates to the EMS platform experience.
  • Thursday, December 19, 12 – 1 p.m.   Hugel 100 (Gagnon Auditorium) Open Community Lunch, An Introduction to Lafayette’s General Counsel, Timothy D. Cedrone, and overview of current legal landscape
  • Monday, November 25,  12 – 1 p.m. Open Community Lunch, new Simon Center for Economics and Business, Room 300  Public Safety – the current state of the campus and a review of protocols in the event of a campus emergency and crisis.
  • Friday, October 18,  Finance Presentation: Andrea Bohn, Assistant VP for Finance, offered an introduction to Chrome River by Emburse, the new P-Card expense reporting program that will be rolling out in the coming months.   • Friday, September 27, Division of Inclusion:   Ernest Jeffries, VP of Inclusion, introduced Kimberly Weatherly, the new Executive Director of Intercultural Development. Together they discussed plans for strengthening connections within the Lafayette community and the importance of promoting diversity and inclusion in all spaces.

    Topic: Introduction by Charlotte Nunes, Dean of Libraries, will discuss Lafayette’s libraries then turn it over to our feature topic –
    Halls Long Gone: A Historical Campus Tour
    Join College Archivist Elaine Stomber for a peek inside 19th century dormitories, academic buildings, and gymnasiums that no longer exist at Lafayette College.
  • October Open Community Luncheon: Learn about the College Budget process and what goes into the planning for the FY24 Budget, presented by Audra Kahr. (this information is not available for public post)
