I am an assistant professor in the Department of Economics at Lafayette College. I am also a research associate with the Education Research Alliance for New Orleans. My research interests are broadly in economics of education, labor economics, as well as other applied economics fields.
My current research focuses on the effects of education policy. Specifically, I am studying the effects of high school closures on student achievement and educational attainment. I have also been studying school choice surrounding the post-Katrina New Orleans school reforms as well the effect of those reforms on student achievement. I’ve also been examining the effect of high school exit exams and test based retention polices.
