PID Controller

  • A PID controller will be needed in order to have communication between the glove sensors and the robotic hand

Biomedical Processes 

  • Understanding of how the human hand moves and applying it to the controls of the robotic hand

Physics 

  • Anything from common physics concepts to advanced physics will need to be to applied to the robotic hand

Material Science  

  • Picking the right material that will be flexible enough to model a human hand strong enough to not break during movement, and lightweight.

Sensor Use 

  • Understanding of new sensors that will be needed in order to make the hand move and sense movement.

Heat Transfer

  • Controlling the heat of the entire system and the mechanical components throughout.
