Progress
Creating Healthy Cities papers have now become more accessible. You can now access them directly off the website. The Community Gardens papers are being edited and additional ones will be uploaded soon!
Success!
Using a little ingenuity and a Google search, I’ve been able to figure out a more straightforward means of offering access to the PDF files on the site. The site will be updated shortly!
Community Meeting
We had an excellent meeting with the residents of the cantons at the Easton Area Community Center earlier tonight. Thanks to everyone who came out and provided us with feedback! Based on your interests, we’ll be adding more information about the Lafayette Organic Gardening project in the near future. Until then, you can visit their website here to learn more.
It may be a few days until we post any new files up here. We need to meet with the tech support staff at Lafayette to determine a better way to provide access to the files. This will become more convenient in the near future. Once this happens, we’ll have a lot of new content to add!
Please share your comments and opinions about anything relating to our page: the content, the design, whatever sparks your interest! They can only help us make it better.
Major update!
Major progress has been made in the development of the Mapping Urban Ecology online magazine. Most notably, the Creating Healthy Cities papers have been posted. These papers will serve as the central focus of the magazine. Several new links have also been added, including one to the Easton Green Maps website produced by another group from the same class. Easton, PA Jane’s Walks and Community Gardens papers are the next content due for posting.
Tonight, we will be presenting our online magazine to members of the West Ward Cantons at a meeting to seek community feedback. The next update will reflect the results, in addition to the new content!
What’s New
Information about the course associated with this project, VAST214:Mapping Urban Ecology, has now been added to the “Our Mission” tab. Introductory text for all sections has also been prepared, and the general format and layout of the site has been developed. We will begin posting papers as soon as possible!
