The Lafayette College Percussion Ensemble is a vital and exciting ingredient in the Lafayette musical landscape. The group performs a wide variety of musical styles from indigenous ethnic traditions (Africa, Japan, Korea, Indonesia, China, Latin America, etc.) to contemporary percussion settings. Membership is open to all Lafayette Students by audition. The group rehearses 4-6 hours per week (Monday evenings and Friday afternoons), and can be taken for academic credit [Music 158]. The Percussion Ensemble is directed by Professor Stockton.
