An online resource on the history of student writing at Lafayette College has been adapted from a Special Collections exhibition as part of a graduate internship this spring.  Christine McCluskey, a recent graduate of the Rutgers University MLIS program, created the web version.  To view the full web exhibit, visit http://sites.lafayette.edu/quilltokeyboard/ .

Here’s a sneak peek at a featured student engineering thesis from the 19th century…

In 1873, Lafayette student Albert Hatch Davidson submitted his thesis on the Bushkill Bridge to the department of civil engineering. The work includes intricate drawings as well as elaborate hand lettering for the chapter titles.  A complete PDF document of the contents of Davidson’s thesis is available through the web exibit.
