Luxurious camping

Thanks for the comments everyone, it’s nice to feel connected and know people are reading about our adventures. We drove quite a bit through the Black Hills of South Dakota to our campsite in Hill City. We drove through Deadwood but didn’t stop to see the graves of Wild Bill Hickock and Calamity Jane.

This campsite is my kind of camping. Pool, hot tub, movies at night, restaurant, general store, and super clean showers. Had fun just hanging out there tonight and eating a taco dinner. Tomorrow we rent a car do we can fo winding roads in the Black Hills. We are also going to Custer State Park, hopefully we will see more critters.

Morning comes early so off to bed. Breakfast in the pancake rent tomorrow at 8.

  1. How did the first septic hook-up go? I remember that vividly when my parents and I went across country! My Dad and I were the Griswalds (seriously). Have fun!

  2. Sounds like you are having a great time on your trip. We enjoyed that part of the country when we had a camping trip there. I loved the prairie dogs! Enjoy the critters in Custer State Park. We ran into a herd of bison, almost literally!

  3. I was wondering how your trip was going and here I see your blog. So fun! That is one big boy camper, how is Tim managing the drive? I feel the need for a campfire now.

Looks like you have the weather opposite of our trip – you have dry, we had rain rain rain
