I really liked the diversity you portrayed for your topic of wearable technology. The category itself is very broad, so it felt like you did a good job of covering a nice variety in depth. I especially liked the part on eye glasses, which are older than I thought they were. I also liked that you covered prosthetics and glucose meters, which aren’t things I normally think about as wearable technologies since I am fortunate enough to not need them. It would have been nice to hear a little more about them or some other wearable medical technology because I felt like you ended a little early with the thank you slide. Overall I thought you had a pretty clear presentation and the background music was a nice touch.

I thought your slidecast was very interesting and I learned a lot about wearable technology. Before watching this, I didn’t realize how broad this topic really is and that almost everything we wear is some form of technology. I liked that you picked a few major categories within wearable technology to talk about and took a broad approach. The time category was interesting to me because it is so common in society that I don’t normally think of it as wearable technology. You did a great job explaining the history and current versions of time and vision technology. I found the sound technology to also be interesting and you had a variety of examples to show the different types of technology. The medical category was also well done. Your slidecast was put together well, the narration was clear and easy to understand, and the music was a nice touch. It would have been nice to show another example of a medical technology instead of the thank you slide. Other than that, you did a great job.

I thought your project was very interesting. I never really thought about how much technology we wear today as it always seemed like a thing to the future for me. I liked the background music but I thought some of it was a bit too loud when you were narrating so it made it hard to hear you sometimes. I liked how you listed all the wearable technologies we had and why they were important. I thought you could have gone into the background a little bit more: Why are these technologies important? What are the implications of these technologies? I thought the presentation in terms of audio and visual was very well done and you picked very nice photos to display plus the music kept me intrigued in the presentation and added another layer of “modernity”.

I thought that is was unnecessary to mention in the beginning that the presentation is the final project for your history class. The narration was clear except for a couple parts. I liked that you mentioned in the beginning that people wear technology 24-7, because this sparked my interest, making me wonder what technologies I wear every day. I liked that you broke up your slidecast into types of wearable technology. The music was cool and for the most part was not distract me from what you were saying. I learned that the eye glasses date back to 12th century China. I also learned that headphones were created for military purposes in 1910 and were able to listen to electric audio signals before amplifiers existed. For the most part, the timing of the slides was very good. The images did a good job of representing the various technologies. I thought it was a smart idea not to include text on your slides other than the ones that introduced the next type of wearable technology. I thought that you could have touched on more of the themes of our class, such as presentism and determinism. Overall, I thought it was well done.

I really liked how you handled such a broad topic. Wearable technology could have been anything. You did a great job addressing a few of the areas of wearable technology. I liked how you addressed older historical technologies in a specific field before discussing where that has lead us to today. Another aspect of your report that I enjoyed was your use of music as a transition between slides and dialogue. Your project was very informative and used great visuals to keep the listener intrigued. My only critique of your project was at times the music was a little loud which made it difficult at times to hear you speak. But all in all I think your project was very well done and I’m glad I watched it.

This presentation was well done and informative. A definite improvement on your last presentation if I may say so. I liked how you broke up your content into a few defined subjects of focus. You spoke clearly and slowly and for the most part were very easy to understand. At one point the volume of your voice dropped, but it was not a big deal. A part of your presentation that I found particularly enjoyable was when you talked about the insulin pump. It combines wearable technology with embedded healing technology, and I thought it was very relevant. One thing I wish you would’ve done was talk about, if only briefly, the future of wearable technology. Or what’s happening with the incorporation of technology into clothes. Overall it was a very informative and clear presentation. Well done!

I liked this slidecast because with all of the advanced wearable technology today such as Google classes, it reminded me about how really simple things that we take for granted today, such as watches, and reading glasses, are in fact wearable technology as well, and had a huge impact on society. It was also cool to hear about how headphones were first used for military purposes, and now they are primarily used for leisure by most of the public. I also liked the ambience that the music set, but I think sometimes it was a little too loud that it was distracting. The talking however was clear and filled up each slide nicely. Breaking down the technologies into the different categories also helped make it easy to follow. Overall a very nice slidecast and I’m interested to learn more about what wearable technologies are being worked on that haven’t already been released to the public.
