Wow. I didn’t realize we were so close to the Jetson’s time frame. I always pictured them to be further out. In your slide show I liked your reference to our in class article Less Work for Mother, because as it turns out we are still waiting on that. Overall I thought you did a nice job with your background research. I’ve seen the Jetson’s before, but did not know much about the show or why things were layered out a specific way. The show being created pre green revolution it makes more sense to keep out of the air pollution. Today I feel like we build things high up for lack of space and a show of industrial wealth. Their architecture as you pointed out was based off of Californian architectural trends of the time. Beyond architecture I thought your use of skype was also pretty cool. Maybe the inventors got motivation from this show and the like? I would recommend 2 improvements for you, one: try and find a way to clean up your audio. It was really staticy- at least on my computer, two meet the timeline of 6:20, you were about a minute short.

I enjoyed your approach to this project. It was nice to hear you talk about the family setting and the daily life of both George and Jane Jetson. You were very information in your comparisons of today’s technological advances and those predicted in the 1962 television show. Your comparison of Roomba to Rosie and of face-time and skype to the video calling in the Jetsons were very accurate. I also enjoyed how you went in depth in your comparison of the architecture style of the post-World War II era to the style of buildings in the show. My only criticism of your project is the words in the slides. It detracted from the images in my opinion. Either way it was very well done and I enjoyed watching it. Good job!
